'(T)he collection is a celebration of the breadth of Fleming's versatility.. . .However, the greatest virtue of this collection is that none of these operas gets performed very frequently. While Manon may appeal more to those who like those bravo moments,' the other two operas offer some highly ingenious approaches to bringing the narration of a story into a musical setting.
